Hi Nate,
I am still having trouble with this. Is there a way we can screen share to see if I am doing this right? Or a more in-depth tutorial?
Thanks.
Here is a video to hopefully help see my problem.

Subject: difficulty setting up IK aim
mayhemking schriebHey everybody, I've been trying to reverse engineer how the aim setup works. I think I understand the theory: One IK points the shooting arm at the aim bone and another IK points a bone at the hip at the aim bone. Transform constraints modify the arm, torso, and head to match that bone at that hip. But in the middle of setting the constraints up something always breaks and I'm not sure where I'm going wrong... I'm guessing there's a particular order I need to set things up in...
AH through trial and error I figured it out. Had to create transform constraints for the head+arm+torso first (must create new transform target, can't point multiple constraints to an existing bone), then put IK constraint on the transform constraint target (again must create new IK target, can't be an existing bone), lastly place IK constraint on the aiming arm pointing to the crosshair bone.
So I guess the issue is you want to place the IK constraints in order of the skeleton hierarchy?
Hey man I was wondering if you could help me set this up on my rig? I am still having trouble with mine! Thanks!
Hi there. I am trying to do the same thing as the OP. Although I am having trouble setting up the IK's and constraints to that of the spineboy's. Is there a more in-depth tutorial for this? Thanks in advance.
