Is it just me or the latest build of Spine 3.6.52 has some performance issues?

Whenever I play an animation with anything selected from 1 to N bones/attachments/meshes/etc the preview of the animation in the 'Animate' mode in the editor looks really really laggy. It didn't happened before but since the update I'm having performance issues. It's not in anyway a real or urgent problem, but I don't know why it happened since the update.

Thanks!

Could you send us your project including the images? There shouldn't be a performance regression.

I'll email it 😉

Any information about what is causing the performance issue?

There should not be anything in 3.6.52 to cause such an issue. I tried your project but could not find a way to make it laggy. I responded to your email asking for a screenshot so we can see what views you have open.

In general Spine can handle very large projects without problems. One of the few ways to get lag is to enable ghosting and then show many ghosts using the silhouette or xray settings. How much lag this causes depends on how many ghosts you show and your CPU and GPU hardware. Using the images or solid ghosting settings are much less intense and won't cause lag.
