I have just installed spine PRO and I 99% of the times I try to open it it doesnt work. It shows just 'about' on the menu on top.
Sometimes when I try to open the file directly it allows me to open it and use it, from there I can easy create a new file and use the software normally.

I have already tried to disinstall and re-install it. Update the computer software etc..

I have a Mac with Sierra 10.12.4

Sorry you are having trouble Martinella. Could you send us the log file Spine generates for a run of the software where it fails to open? You can find the log file in <user home folder>/Library/Application Support/Spine/spine.log.

Do you have any software installed that may interfer with Spine? E.g. antivirus software (less likely on macOS).

Support: Why does Spine hang at start up on Mac OS X
Are you running antivirus, Finder "enhancements", or other software that may interfere with Spine? For example, Default Folder X causes Spine to hang and Rescue Time needs to be closed when Spine is started.

Hi!
thanks for your reply, the log does not show anything because spine actually opens, but it does not open in a proper way, I cant see any screen or file. This is what I see (attached image) and this only there is not the classic 'window'.

My theory is that it takes a wile to open almost 2 minutes, do you think is possible? Is there anyway to avoid this?

That is bizarre, I'm afraid I don't know why it takes so long to start, nor why the window doesn't show but the menu does. 🙁 My best guess is that some other software is interfering with Spine, as that definitely doesn't happen on any of the Macs we test on.

I'm having the same issue. Was there a fix to this?

So far it's always been the case that some other software was interfering with Spine. You can try closing all other apps, disabling antivirus / anti-malware temporarily, etc.
