Suggestion: PS Script: layer comps and groups

Hi,

New pro user here.

It'd be great if there were more options in the photoshop layers to pngs script

enabled using groups as the sprite (so we can have more complex setups, and retain information in the PSD, as well as having more legible documents) and
use layer comps as skins - this way, more complicated groups of textures can be facilitated, enabling simple colour shifts etc without requiring baking everything down.

I've been wanting to do some more things with the PS script for a while. Hopefully I will be able to find the time and also update it to use native PS panels.
Groups of some sort that exports a single image is definitely on my list of things I want. Maybe MKingery's workflow could be automated. Seeing some possibilities there.

im not familiar with scripting, or what photoshop makes available to hook into - so im not sure what options esoteric had when coming up with their skin handling... but ultimately as an artist, i'd prefer groups to function in their traditional way - allowing me to create assets with complex layers and adjustments.

that said, this system works very well, despite the added steps.
