Hi, I downloaded the new Spine version on the link that I received. I installed and gave it security permission for it can start but my Macbook Pro 2017 can't run it. I checked the Spine log and also quit Cleanmymac X but it still doesn't work. can anyone take a look?

This kind of error is almost always caused by antivirus or similar software. Do you have that sort of thing running?

I turned off Cleanmymac X - my antivirus then opened Spine but its icon just appeared for several seconds and then quit, not show any popups. btw, I installed Spine, I think this mean my Mac gave its permission for installing it without antivirus

Some antivirus software continues to attach itself to other software, even when the user tries to disable it. For example, Comodo Firewall (a Windows antivirus) has to be completely uninstalled before it stops messing with other software. I don't know about Cleanmymac X, but I'm afraid something is still interfering with Spine.

it still doesn't work though I tried it and also run it in safe mode on Mac. I think about installing the older version because it worked well before the reinstalling requirement of Spine. I downloaded the previous .dmg to install the older version, I mean 3.8.99. but when it was completed, it is still v.4.11. I read about CLI to run it through command lines too but it's quite hard to understand, so what should I type into Terminal to run it with version 3.8.99 to test this case?

If the Spine launcher won't run, unfortunately you won't be able to launch 3.8.99. It would be like this though:

/Applications/Spine.app/Contents/MacOS/Spine --update 3.8.99

I asked Apple support to help but we can't run it as well and my PC doesn't fit with the new OS. I read threads on forums and tested some cases and figured out that my Mac works well with v4.0 or older versions, but it has issues with v4.1. So can I download v4.0 and v3.8 .dmg to reinstall?

      @AlanTra sorry for reviving this old thread. It would be great if you could try to completely uninstall CleanMyMac X and then try the latest launcher again. We no longer maintain the old launcher, which means that it might stop working entirely in the future.
