First I'd like to say Spine has really made my life so much easier now. I had done traditional pixel animation for awhile and it is very time consuming, but Spine makes a good chunk of the work really and I mean REALLY simple, easy, and time efficient. Now on to the the animations !!! These are just a few of the creatures for the game "Vitality" by MantaGames. http://vitalityrpg.com/. After switching over to Spine in the last year it really has opened up a lot of options for me as a Pixel artist when it comes to animations (as well as the project I am currently involved with). Which even as small pixel art as these creatures are, it just works wonders on them I can't praise Spine enough over it.

Postosuchus seen in the "Stone Age" part of the game.

Update:
I have made several more animations across a few creatures, but a more finalized version of any of them would be this fellow here:

Brachiosaurus

Due to the whiteness of his teeth his mouth looks a little off, but on a non pure white background it looks better. Also I am dying to use mesh deform on this guys animations (currently GameMaker Studio doesn't support this feature), and I may take the time to make another file just so I can anyway for the effects, I can do more dynamic shoulder and neck morphing then layering images to achieve a similar effect. Super excited for all the future stuff I will be-able to accomplish with Spine!

Nice stuff!

I especially like the Coelophysis.

Very neat to see such small animations! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Spine works very well actually for very small animations. A note though to anyone who would want to use Spine as well for very small animations, if you export out to a strip or gif you may have to go through and make a few edits just because the images are so small when they are animated you will get a few stray pixels here and there.

Really enjoying how quickly I can animate my assets from the small stuff to the larger images. xD

aw man those look so awesome! I didn't know how capable Spine would be with sprite animations, this confirms it's good

This is a huge selling point for me. I didn't think spine could produce such detailed animations at the pixel level. I deal primarily in pixel art assets which I've never seen examples of from spine.

When I followed Spine through it's Kickstarter I was really banking on the fact I could use it to cut down on animation time for many styles of pixel art and not only does it help with that in immense ways but with support on most if not all platforms it allows so many more options to be opened up for pixel art in games.
