Photoshop to Spine Script Error
Hello, I saw another post about this but it doesn't seem to have any answers on it so I figured I'd try. I'm getting this error everytime I try to run the script.
I believe I'm running the Script version 7.22 while using Photoshop CS6.
I've tried everything mentioned here https://github.com/EsotericSoftware/spine-scripts/tree/master/photoshop#debugging and nothing happens. My photoshop never crashes, but keeps the second copied file of what I'm trying to use the script up with a layer "collecting layers" (or something). I can see it trying to work but then it gets stuck. Also, the layer mentioned in the screenshot it the bottom/first layer. (I had tried just adding in a blank layer and even hiding the blank layer but then the error screen shows "layer 1" as the problem instead.)
Thanks for reporting the problem. Could you please post or email your PSD file? contact@esotericsoftware.com It seems your PSD has a layer that the script doesn't work on, so we'd like to see it firsthand to ensure our fix works correctly.
I can email it but just to let you know, it was happening to every PSD file I tried with.
If the error occurs with all PSDs, the problem may be with the settings in Photoshop itself.
Could you please use the Reset Preferences on Quit
button in Edit > Preferences > General
to reset the settings and try again? (I have no way to check the window in CS6, so please forgive me if perhaps each name is a little different.)
So I've tried two different ways to reset Photoshop to it's original settings (since there isn't a Reset Preferences on CS6 but I googled different ways on how to do it!) It's still having the same problem/giving me that exact same window.
I did manage now to get it to try to finish though through the Debugging option (the Debug > Do not break on guarded exceptions ) thing by constantly making it run after it stopped itself. However, the file I made is empty.
Thanks for the file. We've implemented a fix! Please download the script again and give it a try. The version with the fix is 7.23.
Yay omg it works! Thank you so much! ??
Hi, unfortunatelly i have a similar problem.
I tried to search for a solution of it but unfortunatelly i didn't get an answer. I also tried to install the most recent script but the problem remains.
The Photoshop version i'm using its the Adobe Photoshop CC 2018.
I wonder if someone could help me solving what's going wrong.
I'm using the 7.23 version that you posted 5 days ago.

I'll send you an e-mail with the PSD file,
Thanks for the reply
Thanks Misaki!
We've updated the script to 7.24. It handles the clipping masks in your PSD now. Can you please verify the output is correct?
I tried to create a group with the merge tag and it worked perfectly thanks a lot! :grinteeth:
Also i tried to find the new version of the script that its been updated but unfortunatey can´t find it, can you give me the link with the new version please?
Thanks again for the help! I have been struggling with this problem on some projects since a few months ago.
Hello! you can always fetch the latest version by clicking on this link:

Thank you it worked perfectly :grinteeth:
Ah sorry I hadn't pushed 7.24! I've done so now, so you don't need the merge group (though that works fine too).
i have same issue with my PS CS6.
That could be any error, it's not clear if it's the same problem as this very old thread.
What version of the script are you using?
