I was wondering if you guys could add the following functionality to the editor.
Operation:
- Left Click & Hold on a master mesh in a slot
- Press a modifer key (Ctrl or Shift)
- Drag into a skin placeholder in the same slot
- Release
Behavior:
...when pressing Shift: a new linked mesh is created with the same name as the master.
...when pressing Ctrl: an input dialog pops up, with the master's name already filled out. A new linked mesh is created after changing/confirming the name.
In both cases the master remains untouched, in its original place.
This is to avoid needing to...:
1.- Create linked mesh.
2.- Dragging to skin placeholder.
3.- Change the name/path (as it always adds a differentiating character at the ending).
Would be possible?
