Hello,
We are working on a game where creatures are made up of multiple base species combined. For this we have created multiple humanoid-monster kind of characters with linked mesh.
The plan is to generate the shape of the character by combining limbs from different base species and then applying a 'skin' over it to complete it.
In order for us to do this effectively, we will need to be able to change the 'skin' of the species at runtime to fur/scales etc.

Is it possible to create maps of specific vertices within a mesh/region? We could just choose the vertices of the region within Spine with intent to make up a subregion, we then name it and have access to the vertices data within the JSON.
Use case:
1. Primary, secondary, tertiary etc recolouring of costumes/characters at runtime.
- Apply a texture (fur, scales, etc) over the skin while avoiding facial features
- Particle generation at specific areas of the mesh at runtime for higher quality animation
- Shader effects on specific parts of the mesh
Please let us know if this is possible,
Thanks
