I am using Mecanim blend trees and am contemplating how I would go about setting up a case where I Mix a lower body and upper body animation. I have seen that Skeletondata has the ability to Add Mixes, but I could not find any tutorials on it and am unsure how I would combine this with mecanim(if that is possible or the right thing to do).
I would ideally like to be able to have a run and shoot animation using just Mecanim. Is this possible? Thank you.

Would really like to know the answer to this as well because we have things like Idle, IdleBlock, WalkBlock, etc that would really benefit from not having to make different animations. I understand that you need to make your anim like Block where it only does bones that you want to override, so just needing to see how to use it with Avatar masking or layers or how that works in mecanim as well.
